Day 3: Fri 5 Apr - Scarborough

17-26 degC, clear, sunny skies with a really pushy wind
Ride: 30km

We thought we'd get away before the winds came up so had a coffee, jumped on the bikes and head north this time. That didn't last long as we lost the bike path somehow, and ended up heading south along the shoreline, same as yesterday. The winds had never really died down so we still had the screaming headwind, so bad even Greg was doing only 13 km/h! We made it to the new bridge from Clontarf to Brighton and what a bridge it is. It even has a cycle and walking path very separate to the drivers. Cyclists get a lane for each way and the walkers have to get out of the way of each other. Very nice!

It was almost 10am by this stage and our worms were biting so we backtracked to a shop that caught Greg's eye - Charlie's Raw Squeeze. Whilst Wendy had the Strawberry Bliss Nicecream, Greg had the Vitamin See with a veggie loaf. Filled the bellies nicely and we didn't have to work too hard on the way home.

Not a whole lot of anything was done apart from admin that Wendy had to attend to. Greg then got himself all dressed up (well, not really) to go to his Military Police reunion Meet and Greet. Wendy dropped him at the nearest train station and off he went. Wendy has to pick him up later. More to follow.
