Day 11 - Sat 13 Apr: Dubbo

14-28 degC
Ride: 11km
Walk/run: 5km

Greg was up before the sparrows this morning to take part in a Park Run which was very near the caravan park. our nephew Ben joined Greg and off they went. They did the 5km in 35 minutes which is not bad for an 11 year old (and to keep up with Uncle Greg who has very long legs!)

Whist the rest of the family went to the Old Dubbo Gaol, we went for a ride to the new weir and then joined them all at a pub in town for lunch.

The family had all gathered here in Dubbo to celebrate Wendy's 50th birthday. So, tonight we had fantastic family BBQ dinner followed by a chocolate birthday cake, made by Wendy's mum as it is her favourite. It was another late night but very social and very enjoyable.

Thank you to Samantha and Suzanne for preparing the majority of the meal and to Kevin and Dale for cooking the meat. Thank you to James, Ben, Jojo, Carla, Jemima and Henry for decorating the cake. Thank you for my gifts; I got a chopping board engraved with "The Aunty Wendy", and an exquisite pair of silver elephant drop earrings made in Zimbabwe, so all very special.
