Day 15 - Wed 17 Apr: Cowra to Junee

10-23 degC
Drive: 172km; total: 1655km
Walk/ride: 13km

It was a bit chilly this morning when we woke in Cowra however, Greg decided he needed to go for a walk to see the Peace Bell, which is what he did. Wendy arose a few minutes later and went for a short wander before starting to pack up the van for the onward journey. Once Greg arrived home we had coffee together then hit the road just before 8am.

First stop was at Young for a wander and then breakfast/morning tea. We saw some lovely old buildings but didn't get to the fudge factory.

Onto to Cootamundra, didn't stop, then Junee. We chose the Junee Golf Club as our camp spot for the night as the sites are on an old bowling green and flat as, $10 for an un-powered site. After setting up and having lunch, we hopped on the bikes and explored the town. What a lovely little town. Probably the main attractions (for us anyway) were the chocolate and liquorice factory and the Roundhouse Rail Museum which was closed as we got there but the lady let us have a very quick squizz. There are lots of pictures but we saw lots of interesting stuff.

The road conditions today were somewhat ordinary. The majority was VERY lumpy, but were able to maintain a speed of 80-95 km/h so made good progress, although we didn't really have to.
