Day 35 - Tue 7 May: Cunnamulla to Charleville

Temp: 9-23 degC

Drive: 201km; total towed: 4111km

Morning walk: 3km

Walk/ride: 20km

It is so nice to be back in QLD - didn't have to heat the van up this morning to be able to get out of bed!

After morning coffees, walks, and exercises/stretches, we packed up and left just before 9am; we didn't have as far to go as yesterday so had a leisurely pack-up. First stop was Wyandra for breakfast and a quick walk along the main street which once would have been the highway we presume. Our final stop was at the Cobb & Co Caravan Park in Charleville which is  a sprawling park but not that big despite the sites being quite spacious.

We thought we'd have lunch out, so hopped on the bikes and hit the town. Had the lunch special of Thai fried rice with chicken at a local bakery/cafe which stopped the worms from biting. We then consulted the map and did the closest things first then went out to the airport. On the way back we stopped in at a park, then found a path along the Warrego River which wasn't very long but quite picturesque.

We had a pre-dinner drink at the van fire-pit area (fire had not been lit), had dinner, blogged and went to read the inside of our eyelids for, hopefully, at least six hours.

Tomorrow we head to Roma where we will meet up with Gunther and Yvonne who we have not seen since early Mar when they went off to the USA for a month. It will be good to catch up and have a bit of a yarn.
